MONCLER: EXTRAORDINARY FOREVER
Moncler: Extraordinary Forever
They were 1952 – just like the birth year of the brand – the models of Moncler who, on September 24th in the heart of Milan, painted Piazza Duomo white during fashion week.
Wearing special-edition Moncler Maya 70, made for the occasion, they gave life to a real show to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the French brand.
At the center of the event there was the iconic Maya jacket, connection symbol between the past and the future of the brand. Moncler outwear par excellence, during the years it was able to evolve in the style and in the materials, while mantaining its original identity. For this limited edition, Maya down jacket comes in new colorways with a commemorative logo – an infinity symbol wrapping the legendary mountain cockerel with the number 70.
The show was directed by French choreographer Sadeck Berrabeh (Sadeck Waff) and opened by Virna Toppi, Prima Ballerina at Milano Teatro alla Scala, followed by models, dancers, musicians and choristers who took part to the performance. Attending the show, exceptionally open to the public, more than 18 thousand people, who contributed to make the night atmosphere even more magical.
“This anniversary is an important moment for us as we look back at the path taken, whilst looking ahead to the future based on what we have learnt and what we continue to dream” said Remo Ruffini, Chairman and CEO of Moncler. That of the brand is a vision that aims to go beyond the expected, pushing creativity beyond limits and conventions: that aims to be extraordinary.
It is no coincidence, then, that the celebration claim is “Extraordinary Forever”, an invite to look for magic in the ordinary and to turn ideas into reality: “As we step forward into our tomorrow, our brand legacy as well as our pioneering spirit will always guide us, continuing to give life to unique products and unique experiences. Guided by a strong belief: that extraordinary means taking unknown paths while never forgetting who we are, where we are from and where we belong”.
