ZIMMERMANN SPRING 2024 RTW
“For Spring 2024, we were inspired by the simple beauty of nature through various art forms. For key collection prints, we were drawn to the lovely, unexpected colour combinations of abstract landscape colourists and mixed these with the more scientific mood of classic botanist art against clean white backdrops. The collection direction is clean and fresh, with a strong expression of colour, sculptural silhouettes and a variety of textures”. This is how Nicky Zimmermann, creative director of the Australian brand that takes her name, describes Zimmermann’s Spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection.
The collection strongly recalls the world of nature, especially that of botany, with a meticulous attention towards the colours and the textures of the items. Flora illustrations and 3D prints seem to dance with the movement of the wearer, while blouson sleeves and flounced skirts are enriched by motifs and embroideries that remind of the the natural forms. Laser-cut fabric flowers embellish the hemlines of bodices and corsages, while silk linen organza gowns present strapless structures, bows and ruffles that emphasize their romantic soul.
However, there are also more practical urban silhouettes, that perfectly compensate Zimmermann’s typical feminine essence: from boxy shirts to stiff cotton boilersuits, up to shirt dresses and nappa jackets, thanks to this collection Zimmermann manages to combine two opposite moods. Regarding colours, the most present shades are right those that recall natural tones, from the earthy ones up to the delicate palette that includes soft coral, mint, lemon sorbet, lilac and washed blue.
