It’s in the evocative location of Giza pyramids that Kim Jones presented Dior Men Fall 2023 collection, a hymn to the connection between ancient civilizations and modern ones, translated into creations able to combine the Maison’s extraordinary tradition with the most innovative contemporary technologies. Layers and stratification are the protagonists of the collection: menskirt stands out among all, a men’s half-kilt covering trousers, the real flagship piece of the season along with tailored pieces and deconstructed coats.

It’s Egypt, Cairo in particular, that inspired Kim Jones, who had always been fascinated by parallels between the ancient world and today’s one, as well as by the stars and the sky. All of these symbols were a passion of Christian Dior himself too, so much that – as Kim Jones tells – we find the idea of being “guided by the stars” both in the collection and the fashion show, in a real tribute to the iconic founder of the Avenue Montaigne Maison.

The audience Dior Men Fall 2023 is addressed to is definitely heterogeneous, and is one who’s able to receive and appreciate the idea of a clothing line halfway between formal and creative, past and present. Of course, all of this without ever forgetting the characteristic elements of the French brand, such as the Dior Oblique motif and the CD Diamond pattern, two pillars that we find as the leitmotiv of the entire collection.
