Founded in 2016 by Catherine Holstein, Khaite is a New York-based ready-to-wear brand that stands out for the high quality of the fabrics and the meticulous attention to detail. Every single piece brings together opposing elements – past and future, feminine and masculine, strength and softness, structure and fluidity – embodying sensuality and comfort at the same time.

Cashmere, knitwear, denim and eveningwear stand out among the brand’s strong points. Khaite’s aesthetics aims to an essential luxury, although there is no lack of bolder and non-conventional choices. Holstein’s intention has indeed always been that of creating elevated basic pieces, reinterpreted according to her personal vision: key pieces to wear daily that everyone should have in their wardrobe, with a particular focus on the design and the choice of materials.

Actress Katie Holmes contributed – albeit unknowningly – to Khaite’s success. In August 2019 she was photographed while hailing a cab in Manhattan, wearing a Khaite cashmere co-ord. From that moment the brand has known an incredible rise, and even today that set keeps being one of its most loved pieces.
